SUMMARY:Isis and Osiris
DESCRIPTION:The story of Isis and Osiris is an ancient myth about love conquering all\, about jealousy and betrayal\, about civilization and order in opposition to chaos. However\, the central theme in this story is about not only the death and resurrection of a God\, but also about the Divine Feminine who resurrects him\, and the Divine Mother giving birth to Horus\, the Divine Child. Long before Jesus\, Mary\, and Joseph\, they are the archetype of the Holy Family. \nLora Jackson Legare has been a practicing Wiccan for 35 years. She is a professional archaeologist\, professor of anthropology\, artist and writer. She has led numerous public rituals in southern New Mexico and conducted workshops and classes on developing connections with Celtic Goddesses and Gods\, stone magick\, and magickal correspondences\, and led many guided meditations. \nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane. Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, April 23rd. \nGet Tickets

SUMMARY:Survey of Pagan Spirituality: Course 100
DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE RUNS FOR 4 WEEKS\, TUESDAYS IN MAY STARTING MAY 5TH. \nHave you ever wondered what spirituality is? How it is defined? What makes you a spiritual person? And\, more specifically\, what is Pagan Spirituality? Labels help define our state of Being to the world\, but actually show nothing about who we really are. The objective here is learning to let our LIGHT shine without the need of labels. \nBy developing a vocabulary\, continuity is established. \nClass 101\, Spirituality: In this first class we will walk thru the world of what being spiritual means\, and\, most importantly\, how spirituality is relevant in your life. \n102 will survey how beliefs and practices around the world and through time have influenced us not only in our spiritual lives\, but also shaped the larger culture in which we participate. \n103 (Survey of surviving Pagan traditions\, NeoPagan\, and related spiritualities?) and 104 (probably Cosmologies: How the Universe works\, and our place in it) are still in flux\, and will be announced in the March Herald. \nThe course fee is $80 for Ardantane Members\, and $100 for non-members. Register below by clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. Beaver Bucks are welcome! Please contact us at info@ardantane.org if you would like to use Beaver Bucks. \nRegistration closes Sunday May 3th at 5 pm MT. \nGet Tickets

SUMMARY:Identifying Poisonous Plants: How to Avoid Poisoning Yourself or Others
DESCRIPTION:Can you tell the difference between Queen Anne’s Lace and poison hemlock? Should you be concerned if your neighbor’s toddler nibbles on the Lily of the Valley growing in your yard? Just how much nutmeg is a fatal dose? How many apple seeds give you a fatal dose of cyanide? \nEmber will answer these questions\, and others\, while also providing information about which common ornamentals are toxic\, what medicinal plants require caution\, and she includes some antidotes as well as bonus material on other poisons. \nWhile the focus is on identifying poisonous plants so you don’t harm yourself or others\, Ember will also offer a brief introduction to the magickal correspondences found along the poison path. \nEmber has had a special interest in plants and herbal medicine all of her life. It started with her five-year-old self eating dandelions and tasting milkweed. Important reminder: supervise your children! Since then\, she has spent the past 50 years studying medicinal herbs\, making salves and tinctures\, and identifying as many plants as she can. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below by clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \n\n\nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, May 7th. \nGet Tickets
