DESCRIPTION:If you’ve been active in the Craft for more than 15 minutes\, you are familiar with the myth of Demeter and Prosephone.  Their story is often used as the basis for equinox rituals at Ostara and Mabon.  But this ancient goddess has many other faces and indeed\, Persephone was not her only child.  She was one of the twelve Olympians\, elder sister to Hades\, Zeus and Poseidon\, and is believed to have played a key role in the Eleusinian Mysteries\, one of the best kept secrets of antiquity.  \nRowan first met Demeter on the pages of Edith Hamilton’s classic Mythology as a teen.  She has long felt a deep connection with the ancient Goddess of the harvest\, agriculture\, health and birth.  Overprotective mother is far from her only role. This course will lay out the rationale for creating dialogue and some tips on how to do so. \nJude Harrison MD – pronouns he/him – enjoys being part of\, and getting along with\, an extended family spanning across each of the differences typically listed in dominant and minority identities. His training sources include Essential Partners\, who foster dialogs across differences\, ongoing studies of cultural oppression\, and reviewing programs collecting outcomes data on structural systems change to improve outcomes for marginalized people. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Ardantane’s School of Pagan Spirituality! In this course you will have the opportunity to discover the breadth and depth of Pagan Spirituality around the world and across time. Within our explorations\, we will examine what Spirituality is\, who Pagans are\, what spirituality means to Pagans in a variety of communities as well as what it means to each of us personally. \nWe will also inquire of various Pagan traditions and life ways: What spiritual practices have permeated these traditions and the cultures within which they are expressed? Where and what are the similarities\, the patterns and the differences which exist among them? \nThroughout our exploration and inquiries\, we will develop an understanding and the ability to discuss and apply such concepts of esoteric thought as ritual\, prayer\, theurgy\, religion\, thaumaturgy\, alchemy\, religious expression – concepts that can inform and shape our own spiritual knowledge and practices. \nAzrael Arynn K is a third-degree Wiccan Priestess and High Priest of the Coven of Our Lady of the Woods\, and has also held offices in the Covenant of the Goddess. She is both Facilities Director and Dean of the School of Sacred Living at Ardantane Pagan Learning Center. She co-authors books on the Craft with Amber K\, and travels and teaches widely throughout the United States. \nAmber K is a third degree priestess of the Wiccan faith. DESCRIPTION:Witches and witchcraft are frequent sightings in fantasy literature. These fictional representations of witches and magic can range from outrageous to offensive. But Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld fantasy series introduces us to witches (and wizards!) that we might recognize in our own lives. Join Granny Weatherwax\, Nanny Ogg\, Magrat Garlick\, Tiffany Aching\, and their proxy Tara Kiene for this class that is destined  to be equal parts silly and instructive. What are the core essentials that define a home\, and how can we make our individual homes safe\, beautiful\, and functional? DESCRIPTION:The Hekate’s Torch and Key Retreat has been an annual event for years\, honoring Hekate as the Queen of Heaven\, Earth\, and the Underworld\, Goddess of Magick\, Keeper of the Keys\, Torch-bearer\, Guide\, Protector\, and Lady of the Crossroads. \nCelebrate and honor Hekate with workshops\, discussions\, and ritual. There will be at least 4-5 WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES related to Hekate\, plus a deipnon (sacred feast honoring Hekate) held simultaneously at our homes. Daylight is fine\, but why not DOUBLE the realm you inhabit by making friends with night and darkness? We’ll list goddesses and gods who rule these dark realms\, look at Witches and darkness in history and myth\, talk to nocturnal animals\, and offer exercises and experiences to help you appreciate the dark and make it your other home. Kerr Cuhulain is a Witch who has been outside in the dark\, under the stars\, a lot\, and has lived to tell their tales.  \nKerr is the Grand Master and founder of a Wiccan order of Knighthood called the Order of Paladins\, now based in Sechelt\, British Columbia. The Order of Paladins embraces the Warrior philosophies\, precepts and code of chivalry outlined in Kerr’s books. The Order of Paladins is a study group for people interested in Wiccan magick\, energy work and rituals related to the Warrior path\, focusing on empowerment\, personal development and creative expression. The training focuses on the effective use of magickal energy and developing psychic skills.
