DESCRIPTION:Join Polaris for an online observance of Imbolc (or Candlemas)\, the celebration of the Celtic Goddess Brighid and the cross-quarter between the winter solstice and spring equinox. Help us celebrate the return of the growing season and the hope of surviving another winter. This is also a time when many pagans and Wiccans dedicate–to themselves\, to their spiritual path\, to each other. \nPolaris is a third degree Wiccan Priestess in the Ladywoods Tradition and a Magister in the Order of Paladins. She has been drawn to the natural cycles of the world from a young age and a practicing Pagan since the early 1990s. As a business consultant in the mundane world\, she integrates the natural cyclical energies into her work with clients\, helping them utilize the prevailing energies and work with those flows rather than struggling against them. \nNOTE THAT THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT. DESCRIPTION:Hekate is the Queen of Heaven\, Earth\, and the Underworld\, Goddess of Magick\, Keeper of the Keys\, Torch-bearer\, Guide\, Protector\, and Savior. She is celebrated every November at the festival of Hekate Trivia\, Goddess of the Crossroads. \nWe will be gathering for a weekend retreat honoring Her at Ardantane\, and you are invited. \nThe retreat will be in person on campus this year. There will be new presentations\, workshops\, and discussions about Her history and aspects\, and ways to serve Her as Her ally\, priestess or priest; a service project; a feast; and ritual at Hekate’s Circle\, located near a crossroads at Ardantane’s boundary. \nAs always\, the theme and workshops vary each year. We are still designing the program\, so if you have a theme suggestion or would maybe like to present a workshop\, let us know: info@ardantane.org. \nFee for the retreat: $150 (for those lodging off-campus)\, $180 for those staying on campus in cabins. Join us at Ardantane’s Labyrinth Day on Saturday\, October 5 from 9am to 4 pm at the Ardantane Campus NW of Albuquerque. \nTogether we’ll explore the history and uses of labyrinths around the world\, and how to design and draw one. Then we’ll actually build one: Ardantane’s third\, in a unique design different from our first two. \nThe event is FREE of charge\, and open to all adults\, and teens accompanied by parents.  \nThe schedule includes a workshop first thing; then we’ll move stones to the site and draw the design on the ground. After a lunch break\, we’ll place stones to mark the path\, then have a short ritual of dedication. Then… walk the new labyrinth and\, if you wish\, share your experience over a cold drink! \nEvery participant gets a free labyrinth emblem. \nThe lunch is potluck: bring a dish to share! During the rest of the day\, refreshments and beverages will be provided by Ardantane. We have work gloves to loan. DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to an open Yule (Winter Solstice) celebration at the Ardantane campus\, on Saturday December 17 at 6:30 pm.\n \nThe specific theme changes from year to year\, but always includes recognizing the longest night of the year\, and the rebirth of the sun as the days grow longer. Past themes have also focused on things important to our ancestors’ celebrations such as the wassail cup tradition\, decorating the World Tree\, following the caribou migrations\, and more.\n\n \n However\, there will certainly be singing\, stories\, a tree to embellish\, and a feast afterward. SUMMARY:Celtic Samhain Gathering
DESCRIPTION:All are invited to a Samhain commemoration on Saturday\, October 29 at Ardantane\, south of Jemez Springs.\n\nSamhain\, pronounced “SOW-en\,” is the Celtic equivalent of the Day of the Dead\, a time to remember those who have passed and honor our ancestors. Though it officially takes place on October 31st\, we will gather on Saturday the 29th to avoid conflict with family Halloween festivities.\n\nWe will begin gathering at 6:00 pm at the geodesic dome on the Ardantane campus. The ritual will begin at 6:30\, and include song and storytelling. There will be an Altar of Remembrance; you may bring photos or tokens for anyone you wish to honor\, and place them on the altar. Just remember to take them home afterwards (it might be wise to include a card with your name and contact information\, so we know where forgotten items need to go).\n\nThere will be a potluck dinner after the ceremony. Please bring a dish or beverage to share; and if you can make a small card listing ingredients\, those with special diets will appreciate it.\n\nDress is casual\, though wearing black or dark colors is traditional. People of all faiths and beliefs are welcome. There is no charge\, though contributions to defray expenses are always welcome.\n\nPLEASE NOTE that we are asking you to RSVP if you are planning to attend\, so we can plan the event carefully. DESCRIPTION:The Ardantane Board has decided that it is time for in person rituals to resume on the campus\, starting with Litha on June 18. \nWear blue and yellow festive wear\, if you have it. \nIn person rituals will resume on the campus starting with Litha on June 18.  Come enjoy a formal tour of the campus or simply walk the trails and labyrinths\, enjoy the Golden Hour\, and reconnect with the land and the Ardantane community.  Potluck at abut 7\, and then it will be time for the Litha ritual at sundown! \nWe are asking for a good will donation from participants\, half of which will be shared with a Charity Navigator- approved Ukraine relief charity. \nWelcome back! \nAs long as Sandoval County’s Covid status stays green\, we will resume in person sabbats on campus.
