DESCRIPTION:This class is required for all certificate programs at Ardantane. It will cover ethics basics\, styles and definitions\, the history of the Rede\, a discussion of the Rede as an ethical system\, other systems used by Pagans\, analysis and discussion of ethical systems used by other cultures and religions\, case studies and ethical dilemmas. \nRowan has been active in the Pagan community of northern New Mexico for over 35 years. She is a third degree initiate of the Ladywood tradition and currently serves as the Dean of the School of Magick and Witchcraft at Ardantane. In her mundane life\, she holds a BS in education from UT El Paso\, and an MBA from UNM. She has taught at festivals in New Mexico and Colorado and nationally\, but enjoys teaching at Ardantane the most. \nLora Jackson Legare has been a practicing Wiccan for 35 years. She is a professional archaeologist\, professor of anthropology\, artist and writer. Based on their book Healing with the Gods and Goddesses: Divine Allies on Your Journey to Health\, Amber and Azrael will explore which deities are known as healers\, and how we can work with them to get better. And better\, and better. \nAmber K and Azrael Arynn K are priestesses of the Wiccan faith\, as well as authors and teachers. They have more than 75 years of combined experience as clergy. DESCRIPTION:Contribute your energy\, time\, and talents to the upkeep of our beautiful campus near Jemez Springs\, New Mexico. We work from 8:00 or 9:00 AM\, depending on the season… starting earlier in summer\, later in winter. We begin with a simple opening ceremony\, and end sometime in the afternoon\, usually around 3:00 PM—but you can come at any time during the day. (Some folks do special projects at other times\, to fit their personal schedules\, by arrangement with the Director.)  \nVolunteers who work a “full” day—six hours or more—receive $40 in Beaver Bucks (applicable to any Ardantane event fee). Those who work 3-4 hours receive $20 in Beaver Bucks. First-timers are awarded the Blessed Beaver patch (embroidered emblem) to wear proudly on a cap or work shirt. Some of Ardantane’s very best\, most experienced faculty will share techniques for creating great learning experiences. Among many topics: Where to Begin Class Design; The Importance of Hooks; Teaching to Three Levels of Self\, Participatory and Experiential Learning Activities; Sensing and Using Energy; Working with Visual\, Auditory\, and Kinesthetic Learners; Beyond Knowledge to Skills and Attitudes\, and Behaviors; and much\, much more. Led by Amber K\, who spent her career as a trainer for many government agencies and corporate entities\, she always aims to make courses fun\, student-centered\, and informative. \nThis is an all day program\, starting at 9AM and ending at 5PM. with a break for lunch. \nOne past student said\, “I have a Master’s in Teaching\, but learned more from this class about HOW to teach than I ever did in school!” \nParticipants are invited to participate in the follow-up session\, “How to Teach Online\,” 7-9 pm MT on December 9. SUMMARY:Death rites - The Healing Well and the Golden Portal
DESCRIPTION:Mandatory Prerequisite – attendance of the Healing Well guided journey in the previous month of October. In this workshop Wellyssa will share with you her method of healing and guiding souls on to the otherworld. This is deep work for advanced practitioners who are interested in assisting in the important task of guiding souls onward. We will be working with Anubis and the Morrigan in her form as Babd. “Washer at the Ford.” These two deities came forward as guides to work with Wellyssa as she began her own journey working with the dead. She is celebrated every November at the festival of Hekate Trivia\, Goddess of the Crossroads. \nWe will be gathering for a weekend retreat honoring Her at Ardantane\, and you are invited. \nThe retreat will be in-person on the lovely Ardantane campus in Northern New Mexico’s Jemez Mountains. As we gather virtually\, we’ll embrace this enchanting festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter\, traditionally celebrated on the night of October 31st. \nMy Craft name is Kalisha Kfp\, though many of you also know me as Karen P. I have been a practicing witch since 1972 and I enjoy a 3rd degree or High Priestess status in several traditions including Gardnerian. My interests include Egyptology\, Speleology\, Archaeology/Anthropology\, Ancient religions & cultures\, Healing\, Herbs both magical & homeopathic\, Incense – history & use\, Mythology as relates to theology and psychology\, different types of magick\, and various forms of divination. I am a ravenous bookworm! \nNOTE: This is an online session.
