SUMMARY:Who Are You? Archetypes with Amber K
DESCRIPTION:Carl Jung said that “Your vision will become clear when you can look into your own heart… who looks inside\, awakes.” \nOne way of seeing yourself involves understanding archetypes\, Jung’s concept of universal character types rooted in the collective unconscious. We will combine myth\, psychology\, meditation\, and humor to explore ourselves and perhaps move forward in our spiritual growth and understanding. \nAmber is a Wiccan priestess with 47 years’ experience\, the author or co-author of several books on the Craft\, and the Executive Director of Ardantane. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below by clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. SUMMARY:Hoarding and Stuff
DESCRIPTION:We pagans sure do like our toys\, books\, costumes and whatnot. Yet we know that all we really need to do effective work is our mind and body. Why\, then\, do we surround ourselves with more than we need? Join two committed declutters to learn about the practical and psychological reasons why it is so hard to release what we no longer need or use\, how to release it ethically and more. \nSterling has a BA in Psychology for the University of Colorado Denver and a MS in Occupational Health and Safety from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She also has extensive Master’s work in cognitive behavior\, addiction recovery and psychological counseling. Aside from studying and practicing Wicca\, Sterling is an accomplished horticulturalist with credentials from the American Rose Society (judge and consulting rosarian). She is an active amateur musician\, playing piccolo\, flute and alto flute. If she has any time left in her day\, she is dabbling in herbology or in some art project; tie dying fabric goods\, painting\, jewelry\, paper and metal craft. Sterling lives in Bloomfield\, CO with her husband Jerry\, and their pets…never a dull moment in their home. \nRowan has been active in the pagan community of northern New Mexico for over 35 years. She is a third degree initiate of the Ladywoods tradition and currently serves as the Dean of the School of Magick and Witchcraft at Ardantane. In her mundane life\, she holds a BS in education from UT El Paso\, and an MBA from UNM. She has taught at festivals in New Mexico and Colorado and nationally\, but enjoys teaching at Ardantane the most. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below by clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \n\n\nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, June 11th. \nGet Tickets

SUMMARY:Witchy in the Dark
DESCRIPTION:“Hello darkness\, my old friend….” Darkness is the essential partner to Light\, a deep treasure cavern of mystery\, dreams\, and the silent birthplace of creation. Yet so many people fear the dark. We can move from these atavistic fears of “things that go bump in the night” and make friends with the darkness\, enriching our spiritual journeys as we cast open the doors to the other half of the universe! We can be not only Warriors of the Light\, but Creatures of the Night. Why and how: join the discussion. \nAmber K and Azrael Arynn K are priestesses of the Wiccan faith\, as well as authors and teachers. They have more than 75 years of combined experience as clergy. They are fascinated by the technology of the sacred—how magick works—and how to share this in ritual design and through their teaching. Amber was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago in 1978\, and is co-founder of the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca. She served three terms as National First Officer of Covenant of the Goddess\, the largest federation of Witches’ covens and solitary Witches. Azrael Arynn K is a celebrated author\, teacher\, ritualist\, and leader within the Pagan community. She has degrees in criminal justice\, law\, and architecture. They were handfasted in 1994\, were married a few years later\, and live and work together at Ardantane Pagan school and retreat center in northern New Mexico. Currently Amber is Executive Director and Dean of the School of Pagan Leadership\, while Azrael is Dean of the School of Sacred Living and Director of Facilities. See ardantane.org. Amber K is the author of True Magick: A Beginner’s Guide\, and Stone Witchery and Divination\, among others. Azrael designs\, co-authors\, and edits books with Amber\, including the award-winning books RitualCraft: Creating Rites for Transformation and Celebration; and Pinups Portraits and Posters: The Life and Art of Bill Randall (Amber’s dad). SUMMARY:Inanna: Goddess of Sumer
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an illuminating session exploring Inanna\, the powerful Sumerian goddess of love\, wisdom\, fertility\, and transformation. Through myth\, symbolism\, and guided reflection\, we’ll delve into Inanna’s legendary descent into the underworld and uncover the timeless lessons her story offers for personal growth\, resilience\, and spiritual awakening. \nEmber has had a special interest in plants and herbal medicine all of her life. It started with her five-year-old self eating dandelions and tasting milkweed. Important reminder: supervise your children! Since then\, she has spent the past 50 years studying medicinal herbs\, making salves and tinctures\, and identifying as many plants as she can. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. SUMMARY:Diviner's Toolkit 2026
DESCRIPTION:Diviner’s Toolkit online with various elders \nEvery year we offer this 4-week course in the skills and traditions of witchcraft\, with different topics on aspects of a witch’s toolkit. This year\, we’re focusing on the witch’s use of divination tools.\n\nThis year’s classes will be:\n\nJuly 9: Kalisha: Reading the Chakras with Stones \nDescription: In this class we learn that stones can show our current health on multiple levels. By revealing where our chakras are out of alignment\, and knowing how to interpret stone position\, we can discover what we need to do to improve on all levels\, physical\, emotional\, mental\, and spiritual. \nJuly 16: Amber K Casting Stones\, Bones\, and More \nDescription: Divination can be fun\, and all the more so if you are tossing beautiful stones\, or edgy bones\, or shells or nuts or charms…. Amber explains how to assemble a set\, choose a pattern or surface to cast on\, and interpret the results. This is a highly individualized form of divination that can give you surprisingly deep and nuanced insight into a situation\, or your immediate future. If you can\, prepare by grabbing a handful of different pebbles\, small shells\, or little odds and ends to experiment with during the class. \nJuly 23: Rowan: Astrology Basics \nDescription: Have you tried to learn Astrology\, but been confused by the language and complexity?  This two hour overview of the basic language of the stars will help you get started.  It will also include ways to get free chart wheels\, figure out everybody’s Moon sign to prep for the last class and suggestions for basic reading. I will provide some simple reference materials that I put together for my own use when I was just starting to learn about astrology. \nJuly 30: Moonbeam Mage: Your Moon Sign \nDescription: Popularized astrology has given us the impression that the Sun sign is “the” sign and it becomes “my” sign. It follows that we would think that sign\, my sign\, is the sign that describes and explains me\, all about me. Let me take you to another realm of thinking.\nSuppose our Sun sign is only part of the story?  In this seminar\, we will delve into an astrological understanding of our Moon sign. What is Moon energy? To what part(s) of our human being is it integral? How does it engage us\, guide us and nurture us? How do we listen more closely to it? Naturally\, Moon spends time in every sign in a cyclical pattern across our sky and across our natal charts. As with the Sun\, your natal Moon is part of your astrological profile. It is every bit as important to know it\, honor it and listen to it. \nFee for the whole series is $80 for Members\, and $100 for non-members. \nGet Tickets

SUMMARY:Stay Put and Connect with Nature
DESCRIPTION:Some of us can stay in one home for years and slowly build a deep relationship with the natural environment where we live. Some of us have to pull up stakes and relocate from time to time. Learn how\, and what blessings it brings to partner with the land and life around us. \nAmber K is a priestess of the Wiccan faith\, as well as an author and teacher. SUMMARY:Deepening Relationship with the Elements
DESCRIPTION:We all have an idea what air\, fire\, water and earth are. Those of us active in pagan practices might call them into sacred space or call upon their qualities in our personal or ritual work. Recently\, Polaris attended a multi-week class at Ardantane called Spiritual Alchemy. As a result of a teaching during that class on the alchemist’s use of different types of fire\, she started thinking about the various qualities of all of the elements\, and how they might be worked with to deepen her spiritual work. Tonight’s Fireside will explore some different aspects of each element and some possibilities as a result of that investigation. \nPolaris is a third degree Priestess in the Ladywoods Tradition and a member of The Order of Paladins. She has been a pagan at heart for most of her life\, and a practicing pagan since the early 1990s.\n \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \n\n\nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, August 13th. \nGet Tickets

SUMMARY:The Oldest Religion: Recreating Paleolithic Spirituality
DESCRIPTION:Our distant ancestors left no religious texts for us to understand their gods and spiritual practices.
