SUMMARY:Guadalupe
DESCRIPTION:Our Lady of Guadalupe: Southwestern Goddess: Rowan will explain the relationship between Guadalupe and the Aztec mother Goddess\, Tonantzin. Was the incident that established Guadalupe as the Goddess of the Americas a typical Marion apparition\, or was it something more?  Is the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City built on what was previously an undistinguished site\, or was it\, like many churches in Europe\, built on a an ancient shrine to a native Goddess? \nAccording to traditions\, the Virgin appeared to a Nahua man named Juan Diego in December 1531 on Tepeyac Hill\, north of Mexico City\, where there was a shrine dedicated to the female Aztec earth deity Tonatzin.  To this day\, in Nahuati-speaking communities (in other communities as well)\, the Virgin continues to be call “Tonantzin” and her appearance is commemorated on December 12 each year. \nRowan has been active in the pagan community of northern New Mexico for over 35 years. She is a third degree initiate of the Ladywoods tradition and currently serves as the Dean of the School of Magick and Witchcraft at Ardantane. In her mundane life\, she holds a BS in education from UT El Paso\, and an MBA from UNM. She has taught at festivals in New Mexico and Colorado and nationally\, but enjoys teaching at Ardantane the most. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \n\n\nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, March 6th.

SUMMARY:Creating Your Sacred Home
DESCRIPTION:Does your home support you in all you want to be\, do\, have\, and offer? \nIf not\, why not\, and what do you need to change in your home for it to support you in these? \nMany other courses exist that focus on you changing yourself; in these five weeks we’ll focus on changing your most intimate surroundings: your home. \nOur Question: how can you change your home to become a more sacred space? \n“A sacred home gets out of the way of your connection with divinity. It makes your connection easier\, even constant. It brings awareness of the divine into your daily life… Helps me be wholly me\, holy me\, holding me.” \nAzrael has a Master’s in Architecture\, and began her fascination with homes as a child\, drawing houses and house plans. As a Wiccan priestess for 30 years\, she brings the Sacred to all aspects of life\, including homes. She still designs houses\, and perhaps one day will be able to build the home of her dreams with Amber. \nTuesdays from 7-9 p.m. MT beginning March 4th and culminating April 1st. \nFee for the 5-week course is $125\, or $100 for Ardantane sustaining Members. Register online at www.ardantane.org no later than March 1. \n

SUMMARY:What is British Traditional Witchcraft/Wicca
DESCRIPTION:The history of Witchcraft in the UK is rich\, diverse\, and often misunderstood. While witchcraft has been practiced in various forms throughout history\, many of the myths surrounding the tradition have been perpetuated and distorted\, especially in modern times. The story of Traditional Witchcraft in the UK and its offshoots is a fascinating journey of syncretism\, cultural change\, and the blending of indigenous folk beliefs with modern spiritual practices. \nMy Craft name is Kalisha Kfp\, though many of you also know me as Karen P. I have been a practicing witch since 1972 and I enjoy a 3rd degree or High Priestess status in several traditions including Gardnerian. DESCRIPTION:The powerful energies of Stones Circles have drawn humans and sacred worshippers throughout time. Their healing and transformational energies are available to us all now on an even more expanded scale\, due to increased activities in Ley Lines and the Planetary Grid. What they have to tell us can propel our evolution. \nMonica Devi Bhakti is an Empath\, Intuitive Energy Reader\, Soul Coach\, Psychic Therapist\, Somatic Healer and Transformational Retreat Leader. She has traveled to many of the great Stones Circles in England and Ireland and led others on retreats and in ceremonies to experience their incredible power. \nSteve Wilson\, MA\, LP\, LPC is a Psychologist in Durango\, CO specializing in Trauma\, Anxiety\, and Psychedelic Integration. With a BA in Religion and Philosophy\, Steve has practiced Zen\, Tantric Buddhism\, and Shamanism for decades. Since Crop Circles started increasing in complexity in the 90’s\, he has studied their sacred geometry\, and their influence in the evolution of humanity and planetary healing. \nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane. Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. SUMMARY:Imbolc
DESCRIPTION:Join Polaris for an online observance of Imbolc (or Candlemas)\, the celebration of the Celtic Goddess Brighid and the cross-quarter between the winter solstice and spring equinox. Help us celebrate the return of the growing season and the hope of surviving another winter. This is also a time when many pagans and Wiccans dedicate–to themselves\, to their spiritual path\, to each other. \nPolaris is a third degree Wiccan Priestess in the Ladywoods Tradition and a Magister in the Order of Paladins. She has been drawn to the natural cycles of the world from a young age and a practicing Pagan since the early 1990s. As a business consultant in the mundane world\, she integrates the natural cyclical energies into her work with clients\, helping them utilize the prevailing energies and work with those flows rather than struggling against them. \nNOTE THAT THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT. If you would like an in-person event at the Ardantane campus\, we are holding an Imbolc celebration. Information for that event will be posted soon. \nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane. Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, January 30th.

SUMMARY:History of Tarot
DESCRIPTION:The history of Tarot is a fascinating and complex story that spans centuries\, blending elements of mysticism\, psychology\, and art. The origins of Tarot cards are often shrouded in mystery and myth\, with many people believing they have ancient roots\, particularly in Egypt. However\, the actual history of Tarot is far more grounded in European culture\, and its evolution reflects a fascinating blend of art\, divination\, and psychology. \nKalisha Kfp got her first tarot deck in 1968 and started doing readings for friends in 1970. By 1984 she was reading at Psychic Fairs throughout Texas and Oklahoma. In 2019 she became an education mentor for the American Tarot Association and help expand their education program.\n \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \n\n\nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, January 16th.

SUMMARY:Take Back the Night: Pagan Skies
DESCRIPTION:The constellations that we are taught about in Western culture and which are used in Western astrology are an amalgam of Greek\, Roman\, Arabic\, and Latin influences which were recognized by colonial powers and represent the Northern hemisphere. The constellations that came to be used in the Southern hemisphere are largely a display of the scientific achievements of European colonial powers and some wildlife they found interesting. Both entirely ignore the sky cultures of indigenous people around the world. In the late 16th and early 17th century attempts were made by several astronomers who were Christian clergy to completely erase the sky and replace it with an entirely Christian sky. This didn’t succeed partially because the various clergy involved could not agree on the elements of these skies and partially because the principal astronomers of the day were busy creating constellations in honor of their royal sponsors. Colonial powers created systems such as the Residential Schools which partnered with the church to eliminate indigenous language and culture\, resulting in many sky cultures being lost\, in some cases permanently.\n\nWe know that the ancestors of our Heathen brothers and sisters were great navigators yet due to this corrosive colonial activity much of their sky lore has been lost. Very little is known about Celtic skies except bits and pieces that have come down through translations of translations of verbal lore\, although discovery of the Coligny calendar has given us some pieces to work with.\n\nThe World Asterisms Project is a living project which I founded in June 2021 for the Inclusivity and Diversity Committee of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada as a celebration of the sky cultures of the world: It continues to grow as the process of naming the stars above is an ongoing process. It is also growing as ethnoastronomers and researchers investigate old records and interview elders and recover previously lost sky cultures. The World Asterisms Project has so far examined over 580 of the world’s cultures and recorded 15\,229 asterisms and 1\,633 names of the Sun\, Moon\, and Planets.\nKerr Cuhulain is the Grand Master and founder of a Wiccan order of Knighthood called the Order of Paladins\, now based in Sechelt\, British Columbia. The Order of Paladins embraces the Warrior philosophies\, precepts and code of chivalry outlined in Kerr’s books. The Order of Paladins is a study group for people interested in Wiccan magick\, energy work and rituals related to the Warrior path\, focusing on empowerment\, personal development and creative expression. The training focuses on the effective use of magickal energy and developing psychic skills. The Order of Paladins is constantly developing new rituals\, and magick and studying our Warrior philosophy. Our members are spread across the globe and connect through local preceptories and on line. All members are expected to participate and contribute. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. SUMMARY:The Witch Trials in Abiquiu\, NM
DESCRIPTION:A little-studied witchcraft trial took place at Abiquiu\, New Mexico\, between 1756 and 1766.  The witchcraft outbreak took place less than a century after the Pueblo Revolt and symbolized a resistance by the Genízaros (hispanicized Indians) of Abiquiu to forced Christianization. The response of the Church and the Spanish government stand in sharp contrast to the pattern set in Salem 150 years earlier.  We will examine the unique history of this tiny New Mexico village\, the nature of the accusations made and the response of the Spanish colonial governor and the Church. \nThis online class is free to supporting members of Ardantane. SUMMARY:Resting in the Nurturing Energies of Earth
DESCRIPTION:Following a spiritual path based upon nature involves living with the seasons. Each has its own energy flows\, and when we pay attention to them\, we can work with the prevailing energy rather than against it. We’ve explored the new growth of Spring\, the fullness of the energy of Summer\, and the bounty and reflection of Fall. Now it is time to go within and go deep\, gestating what will come next\, in the warm embrace of the Earth Mother. Come and explore the energies of Winter. \nPolaris is a third degree Wiccan Priestess in the Ladywoods Tradition and a Magister in the Order of Paladins. She has been drawn to the natural cycles of the world from a young age and a practicing Pagan since the early 1990s. SUMMARY:Hekate's Torch and Key Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Hekate is the Queen of Heaven\, Earth\, and the Underworld\, Goddess of Magick\, Keeper of the Keys\, Torch-bearer\, Guide\, Protector\, and Savior. She is celebrated every November at the festival of Hekate Trivia\, Goddess of the Crossroads. \nWe will be gathering for a weekend retreat honoring Her at Ardantane\, and you are invited. \nThe retreat will be in person on campus this year. There will be new presentations\, workshops\, and discussions about Her history and aspects\, and ways to serve Her as Her ally\, priestess or priest; a service project; a feast; and ritual at Hekate’s Circle\, located near a crossroads at Ardantane’s boundary. \nAs always\, the theme and workshops vary each year. We are still designing the program\, so if you have a theme suggestion or would maybe like to present a workshop\, let us know: info@ardantane.org. \nFee for the retreat: $150 (for those lodging off-campus)\, $180 for those staying on campus in cabins. Beaver Bucks accepted. On-campus lodging is limited\, so contact Azrael at info@ardantane.org if you need cabin space. BEFORE YOU REGISTER. First come\, first served. We can handle 1 or 2 smaller RVs\, plus there is camping space. Other lodgings can be found in Jemez Springs\, just a few minutes’ drive from the campus. \nAttendance will be limited\, so register early!
