DESCRIPTION:Dens\, home offices\, She Sheds\, Man Caves\, mini-sanctuaries… everyone needs a place where they can escape daily demands (and families or roommates) and pursue arts\, crafts\, and hobbies… or read quietly… or just chill and dream. Do you have such a place? What’s it like? What do you do there? Could it be even better? How could you create one\, for yourself or a family member? Are there “do’s and don’ts\,” or house rules? Let’s share. Discussion led by Amber K\, who achieved the dream. \nAmber K is a third degree priestess of the Wiccan faith. She was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago and served on the Council of Elders there. Her books on magick and the Craft have been widely circulated in the United States and Europe\, and for 35 years she has traveled across the U.S. teaching the Craft. She has worked with Circle and the Re-Formed Congregation of the Goddess\, and served as National First Officer of the Covenant of the Goddess for three terms. She is a founder of Our Lady of the Woods and the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca\, and currently is Executive Director of Ardantane\, a Wiccan/Pagan seminary is northern New Mexico. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. DESCRIPTION:It’s time to celebrate Yule\, the Winter Solstice! As we honor the returning light\, we’ll learn how Yule has been and continues to be celebrated across the pagan world. Then we’ll engage in a ritual designed to connect us with the season’s magic. We’ll explore the symbolism of the evergreen\, the warmth of the hearth\, and the promise of new beginnings. The fee is $10. \n\n\n\nRowan has been active in the pagan community of northern New Mexico for over 35 years.  She is a third degree initiate of the Ladywoods tradition and currently serves as the Dean of the School of Magick and Witchcraft at Ardantane.  In her mundane life\, she holds a BS in education from UT El Paso\, and an MBA from UNM.  She has taught at festivals in New Mexico and Colorado and nationally\, but enjoys teaching at Ardantane the most. \nThis online class is free to supporting members of Ardantane. SUMMARY:Volunteer Work Day December
DESCRIPTION:Contribute your energy\, time\, and talents to the upkeep of our beautiful campus near Jemez Springs\, New Mexico. We work from 8:00 or 9:00 AM\, depending on the season… starting earlier in summer\, later in winter. We begin with a simple opening ceremony\, and end sometime in the afternoon\, usually around 4:00 PM—but you can come at any time during the day. (Some folks do special projects at other times\, to fit their personal schedules\, by arrangement with the Director.)  \nVolunteers who work a “full” day—six hours or more—receive $40 in Beaver Bucks (applicable to any Ardantane event fee). Those who work 3-4 hours receive $20 in Beaver Bucks. First-timers are awarded the Blessed Beaver patch (embroidered emblem) to wear proudly on a cap or work shirt. Everyone receives free lunch and beverages\, as well as healthy exercise and camaraderie.  \nBring your sun hat and work gloves (we have loaners if you need them).  \nContact Azrael Arryn K at azraelak@gmail.com for directions and information.
