DESCRIPTION:Welcome to an overview of the Celtic pantheon\, presented by Lora Jackson Legare\, who has done many classes on the individual deities in previous years.  Tonight’s class is an overview of the Celtic gods and goddesses\, how their stories intersect and more.  \n\nJoin Lora Jackson Legare in her exploration of this hero of the ancient Celts and his creation. She has been a practicing Wiccan for 35 years. She is a professional archaeologist\, professor of anthropology\, artist and writer. She has led numerous public rituals in southern New Mexico and conducted workshops and classes on developing connections with Celtic Goddesses and Gods\, stone magick\, and magickal correspondences\, and led many guided meditations. \nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. DESCRIPTION:This coming Saturday\, February 11\, you are invited to come to a work party at Ardantane… and earn\, or re-earn\, the noble designation of “Ardantane Blessed Beaver.” \nWe will gather about 9:00 am\, and work until 3 or 4\, whenever we reach a logical stopping place. The weather forecast for Saturday is a pleasant high of 48 degrees and party sunny! \nClearing\, sorting\, and organizing are high on the agenda\, in preparation for the coming year’s program. The Great Keep\, Kitschwitch\, and the Pumpkin Shed (toolshed) all need attention. It’s pretty light work but essential! \nLunch will be provided by the incomparable Chez Cedar. \nVolunteers will receive Beaver Bucks (good for any Ardantane class\, course\, or retreat)\, fun fellowship with other volunteers\, free lunch\, and the gratitude of the Ardantane community. \nCall Azrael at 505-469-3307 or azraelak@gmail.comif you have questions or need directions. SUMMARY:What is Pagan?
DESCRIPTION:We have grappled with the concept of ‘spirituality.’ In this seminar we take on the concept of ‘P/pagan.’ What does the word mean to you? How do you define or explain being Pagan\, or a Pagan? Is Pagan only one of the collection of modern\, mostly Western European practices and belief systems included in a list such as: Wiccan\, Asatru\, Druid\, Heathen\, and so on? Is it more complex than that? More widespread? Then\, what do we\, at Ardantane mean when we use it in naming a school or a class? \nJoin Amber K as we delve into the concept of Pagan\, its root meaning\, its usage and finally\, its coupling with our understanding of spirituality. \nAmber K is a third degree priestess of the Wiccan faith. She was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago and served on the Council of Elders there. Her books on magick and the Craft have been widely circulated in the United States and Europe\, and for nearly 25 years she has traveled across the U.S. teaching the Craft. She has worked with Circle and the Re-Formed Congregation of the Goddess\, and served as National First Officer of the Covenant of the Goddess for three terms. She is a founder of Our Lady of the Woods and the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca\, and currently is Executive Director of Ardantane\, a Wiccan/Pagan seminary is northern New Mexico. \nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.
