DESCRIPTION:Following a spiritual path based upon nature involves living with the seasons. Each has its own energy flows\, and when we pay attention to them\, we can work with the prevailing energy rather than against it. This is the third in a series of four seasonal energy Fireside Chats and will focus on the energies of harvest and the element of water. \nPolaris is a third degree Wiccan Priestess in the Ladywoods Tradition and a Magister in the Order of Paladins. She has been drawn to the natural cycles of the world from a young age and a practicing Pagan since the early 1990s. SUMMARY:Volunteer Work Day August
DESCRIPTION:Contribute your energy\, time\, and talents to the upkeep of our beautiful campus near Jemez Springs\, New Mexico. We work from 8:00 or 9:00 AM\, depending on the season… starting earlier in summer\, later in winter. We begin with a simple opening ceremony\, and end sometime in the afternoon\, usually around 4:00 PM—but you can come at any time during the day. (Some folks do special projects at other times\, to fit their personal schedules\, by arrangement with the Director.)  \nVolunteers who work a “full” day—six hours or more—receive $40 in Beaver Bucks (applicable to any Ardantane event fee). Those who work 3-4 hours receive $20 in Beaver Bucks. First-timers are awarded the Blessed Beaver patch (embroidered emblem) to wear proudly on a cap or work shirt. Everyone receives free lunch and beverages\, as well as healthy exercise and camaraderie.  \nBring your sun hat and work gloves (we have loaners if you need them).  \nContact Azrael Arryn K at azraelak@gmail.com for directions and information. DESCRIPTION:Our planet\, our Earth\, our home. What great challenges face our seas\, our soil\, our wildlife\, our forests\, farmlands\, and skies? How are people acting worldwide to stop the destruction and heal the planet? \nJoin us for an enriching exploration into the ancient wisdom of Pagan beliefs and practices\, centered around healing our planet in the face of modern challenges. In this workshop\, we will delve into practices that honor the Earth as a living entity and seek to restore balance and harmony on our beloved planet. \nAmber K is a third degree priestess of the Wiccan faith. She was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago and served on the Council of Elders there. Her books on magick and the Craft have been widely circulated in the United States and Europe\, and for 35 years she has traveled across the U.S. teaching the Craft. She has worked with Circle and the Re-Formed Congregation of the Goddess\, and served as National First Officer of the Covenant of the Goddess for three terms. She is a founder of Our Lady of the Woods and the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca\, and currently is Executive Director of Ardantane\, a Wiccan/Pagan seminary is northern New Mexico. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below.
