SUMMARY:Volunteer Work Day August 2026
DESCRIPTION:Contribute your energy\, time\, and talents to the upkeep of our beautiful campus near Jemez Springs\, New Mexico. We work from 8:00 or 9:00 AM\, depending on the season… starting earlier in summer\, later in winter. We begin with a simple opening ceremony\, and end sometime in the afternoon\, usually around 3:00 PM—but you can come at any time during the day. (Some folks do special projects at other times\, to fit their personal schedules\, by arrangement with the Director.) \nVolunteers who work a “full” day—six hours or more—receive $40 in Beaver Bucks (applicable to any Ardantane event fee). Those who work 3-4 hours receive $20 in Beaver Bucks. First-timers are awarded the Blessed Beaver patch (embroidered emblem) to wear proudly on a cap or work shirt. Everyone receives free lunch and beverages\, as well as healthy exercise and camaraderie. \nBring your sun hat and work gloves (we have loaners if you need them). \nContact Azrael Arryn K at azraelak@gmail.com for directions and information. RSVP below if you like.

SUMMARY:The Oldest Religion: Recreating Paleolithic Spirituality
DESCRIPTION:Our distant ancestors left no religious texts for us to understand their gods and spiritual practices. But perhaps we can find clues in archaeology\, shamanism\, and the most ancient religions still followed in a few corners of the Earth. Surely Neanderthals\, and the earliest homo sapiens revered the mysteries and expressed their awe somehow. Are you curious? We are\, and so we started digging. Come learn what we discovered… and imagined. \nAmber K is a priestess of the Wiccan faith\, as well as an author and teacher. She was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago in 1978\, and is co-founder of the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca. She served three terms as National First Officer of Covenant of the Goddess\, the largest federation of Witches’ covens and solitary Witches. She has been teaching and writing about the Craft and magick for more than 45 years. Currently Amber is Executive Director\, and Dean of the School of Pagan Leadership\, at Ardantane Pagan school and retreat center; see ardantane.org. Amber and Azrael Arynn K were handfasted in 1994\, and married a few years later. They live in northern New Mexico at the Ardantane campus\, where they teach and write books. Amber K is the author of True Magick: A Beginner’s Guide\, and Stone Witchery and Divination\, and has co-authored several other books with Azrael\, including the award-winning RitualCraft: Creating Rites for Transformation and Celebration. See their other titles at magickwithamberk.com. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10. \n\n\nRegistration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday\, August 28th. \nGet Tickets
