SUMMARY:Deepening our Lunar Journeys: Tracking the Moon
DESCRIPTION:Baba Yaga will often lead you in mysterious ways! On this Dark Moon\, KareIsis\, a dedicant of the ancient Slavic witch\, will share with you the wisdom discovered on an impromptu pilgrimage to an archaeoastronomical site hosting a Lunar event occurring only every few decades. As a Moon priestess\, KareIsis is often led to discover spiritual aspects of reality drawn from astronomy. During the last few months\, she has embarked on travels\, one of which led her to the ancient site of a Chacoan outlier\, now known as Chimney Rock. Join us at this event to deepen in Lunar journeys that opened the door to the knowledge of the northern lunar standstill. Come all Moon lunatics and be enchanted with a deeper knowledge of the workings of the moon. \nKareIsis is an initiate of the Ladywood Tradition who lives in a mountain cabin in Pine\, Colorado. She is a devotee of FCBD belly dance and Baba Yaga. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. SUMMARY:Volunteer Work Day October
DESCRIPTION:Contribute your energy\, time\, and talents to the upkeep of our beautiful campus near Jemez Springs\, New Mexico. We work from 8:00 or 9:00 AM\, depending on the season… starting earlier in summer\, later in winter. We begin with a simple opening ceremony\, and end sometime in the afternoon\, usually around 4:00 PM—but you can come at any time during the day. (Some folks do special projects at other times\, to fit their personal schedules\, by arrangement with the Director.)  \nVolunteers who work a “full” day—six hours or more—receive $40 in Beaver Bucks (applicable to any Ardantane event fee). Those who work 3-4 hours receive $20 in Beaver Bucks. First-timers are awarded the Blessed Beaver patch (embroidered emblem) to wear proudly on a cap or work shirt. Everyone receives free lunch and beverages\, as well as healthy exercise and camaraderie.  \nBring your sun hat and work gloves (we have loaners if you need them).  \nContact Azrael Arryn K at azraelak@gmail.com for directions and information. There is\, however\, a huge problem. This is a case of East meets West\, and the transition is not always compatible. Learn about Ancient Egyptian Religion and Magick and how it was (according to reliable scholars) in the days of antiquity. Maybe even discover what is not being done today to merge two opposing cultures in today’s pagan climate. SUMMARY:Samhain Online – A Traditional Samhain: Lore and Commemoration
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a sacred and transformative online Samhain ritual\, a time to honor the veil between the worlds and celebrate the rich tapestry of life and death. As we gather virtually\, we’ll embrace this enchanting festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter\, traditionally celebrated on the night of October 31st. \nAmber K is a third degree priestess of the Wiccan faith. She was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago and served on the Council of Elders there. Her books on magick and the Craft have been widely circulated in the United States and Europe\, and for 35 years she has traveled across the U.S. teaching the Craft. She has worked with Circle and the Re-Formed Congregation of the Goddess\, and served as National First Officer of the Covenant of the Goddess for three terms. She is a founder of Our Lady of the Woods and the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca\, and currently is Executive Director of Ardantane\, a Wiccan/Pagan seminary is northern New Mexico. \n  \nPolaris is a third degree Wiccan Priestess in the Ladywoods Tradition and a Magister in the Order of Paladins. She has been drawn to the natural cycles of the world from a young age and a practicing Pagan since the early 1990s. As a business consultant in the mundane world\, she integrates the natural cyclical energies into her work with clients\, helping them utilize the prevailing energies and work with those flows rather than struggling against them. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below.
