DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE RUNS FOR 4 WEEKS\, TUESDAYS IN AUGUST STARTING AUGUST 4TH (7-9 PM MDT). \nDiscover the rich and diverse world of modern Pagan spirituality in this engaging 4-week online course. Explore the history\, beliefs\, and practices of contemporary Pagan traditions while developing a deeper connection with nature\, the sacred\, and your own spiritual path. Through guided lessons\, practical exercises\, and reflective activities\, you’ll learn about the roots\, traditions\, and options for personal spiritual practice in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether you’re new to Paganism or looking to deepen your existing practice\, this course offers inspiration\, knowledge\, and practical tools for your journey. \nLevel 2 Classes in Spirituality will be: \nClass 1 Part 1) We will return to the Elemental Kingdoms to meet their Kings and discover how they affect us. \nClass1 Part 2) Here we journey into the Astral Planes and learn what their purposes are and how we may utilize them. \nClass 2) Our origins story as modern pagans/Witches is important\, but most people only think of what we have today as being a 20th Century invention. In this class we are taking a trip back to the ancient world of Neoplatonism & Hermetics to discover how they influenced and led to modern pagan beliefs and practices. \nClass 3 Part 1) Will be presented by Maeve\, a priest in Bards Ovates & Druids out of England. This is one of the oldest\, most respected Druid Orders in the World. \nClass 3 Part 2) Amber K & Azrael Arynn K are going to talk about the Spiritual revival taking place in Scandinavia and the spirituality as practiced there today. Maybe even more\, time permitting. \nFor Class 4) I will be taking suggestions in Class 1\, so put your thinking caps on and let me know what you would like to learn about. SUMMARY:The Oldest Religion: Recreating Paleolithic Spirituality
DESCRIPTION:Our distant ancestors left no religious texts for us to understand their gods and spiritual practices. But perhaps we can find clues in archaeology\, shamanism\, and the most ancient religions still followed in a few corners of the Earth. Surely Neanderthals\, and the earliest homo sapiens revered the mysteries and expressed their awe somehow. Are you curious? We are\, and so we started digging. Come learn what we discovered… and imagined. \nAmber K is a priestess of the Wiccan faith\, as well as an author and teacher. She was initiated at the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago in 1978\, and is co-founder of the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca. She served three terms as National First Officer of Covenant of the Goddess\, the largest federation of Witches’ covens and solitary Witches. She has been teaching and writing about the Craft and magick for more than 45 years. Currently Amber is Executive Director\, and Dean of the School of Pagan Leadership\, at Ardantane Pagan school and retreat center; see ardantane.org. Amber and Azrael Arynn K were handfasted in 1994\, and married a few years later. They live in northern New Mexico at the Ardantane campus\, where they teach and write books. SUMMARY:Hekate's Torch and Key Retreat 2026
DESCRIPTION:Hekate is the Queen of Heaven\, Earth\, and the Underworld\, Goddess of Magick\, Keeper of the Keys\, Torch-bearer\, Guide\, Protector\, and Savior. She is celebrated every November at the festival of Hekate Trivia\, Goddess of the Crossroads. \nWe will be gathering for a weekend retreat honoring Her at Ardantane\, and you are invited. \nThe retreat will be in-person on the lovely Ardantane campus in Northern New Mexico’s Jemez Mountains. There will be new presentations\, workshops\, and discussions about Her history and aspects\, and ways to serve Her as Her ally\, priestess or priest; a service project; a feast; and ritual at Hekate’s Circle\, located near a crossroads at Ardantane’s boundary. \nAs always\, the theme and workshops vary each year. We are still designing the program\, so if you have a theme suggestion or would maybe like to present a workshop\, let us know: info@ardantane.org. \nFee for the retreat: $150 (for those lodging off-campus)\, $180 for those staying on campus in cabins.
