SUMMARY:Deepening our Lunar Journeys: Tracking the Moon
DESCRIPTION:Baba Yaga will often lead you in mysterious ways! On this Dark Moon\, KareIsis\, a dedicant of the ancient Slavic witch\, will share with you the wisdom discovered on an impromptu pilgrimage to an archaeoastronomical site hosting a Lunar event occurring only every few decades. As a Moon priestess\, KareIsis is often led to discover spiritual aspects of reality drawn from astronomy. During the last few months\, she has embarked on travels\, one of which led her to the ancient site of a Chacoan outlier\, now known as Chimney Rock. Join us at this event to deepen in Lunar journeys that opened the door to the knowledge of the northern lunar standstill. Come all Moon lunatics and be enchanted with a deeper knowledge of the workings of the moon. \nKareIsis is an initiate of the Ladywood Tradition who lives in a mountain cabin in Pine\, Colorado. She is a devotee of FCBD belly dance and Baba Yaga. \n\nThis class is free to supporting members of Ardantane.  Others must register below. DESCRIPTION:DATE CHANGED TO OCTOBER 12\nFrom the island of Crete\, to Britain\, to Norway and the American Southwest\, humans have created labyrinths for millennia. Now you can help build one too! Join us at Ardantane’s Labyrinth Day on Saturday\, October 5 from 9am to 4 pm at the Ardantane Campus NW of Albuquerque. \nTogether we’ll explore the history and uses of labyrinths around the world\, and how to design and draw one. Then we’ll actually build one: Ardantane’s third\, in a unique design different from our first two. \nThe event is FREE of charge\, and open to all adults\, and teens accompanied by parents.  \nThe schedule includes a workshop first thing; then we’ll move stones to the site and draw the design on the ground. After a lunch break\, we’ll place stones to mark the path\, then have a short ritual of dedication. Then… walk the new labyrinth and\, if you wish\, share your experience over a cold drink! \nEvery participant gets a free labyrinth emblem. \nThe lunch is potluck: bring a dish to share! During the rest of the day\, refreshments and beverages will be provided by Ardantane. We have work gloves to loan.
