In Paganism we have no Devil on which to blame the world’s ills, and yet humanity faces war, death, disease, violence, sorrow and grief, darkness/night, fear and terror, storms and destruction. We can look only to our own deities to comprehend these things.
Who are the Dark Goddesses, and should we run screaming in fear, or gather our courage and stare into the terrible gaze of the next we encounter? Gather ‘round the fire with us, your back to the chill of the dark winter night, and hear the tales of Ereshkigal, Kali, Morrigan, Hekate, Sekhmet, Tiamat, Eris, Cailleach, the Winter Hag, Tlazoteotl and more.
Perhaps we can learn that even the darkest of goddesses offers us some insights and understanding, compassion and even healing.
Your presenter is Amber K, priestess, author, and Executive Director of Ardantane.
Amber K is the author of True Magick and has co-authored other books on the Craft and magick with Azrael Arynn K, including the new edition of CovenCraft, Candlemas, The Heart of Tarot, and the award-winning RitualCraft. She is also the Executive Director of Ardantane, and Dean of the School of Pagan Leadership.
