Join Moonbeam Mage and KareIsis for an exploration of autumn harvest season practices. We will take time to describe how autumn rituals and practices are generally conceptualized and celebrated in our USA context. This will lead us to expanding and wondering.
We will offer you an opportunity to expand your image of the meanings of harvest season beyond the American stereotype. We might wonder, “Why do we emphasize food consumption?” We might wonder, “What’s up with our traditional understanding of why and how we celebrate – truth, or fiction?” We might wonder, “What about stories from other perspectives, from other folks who lived that history?” Are there deeper universal, human motivations behind our celebrating this season?
We will discuss what emerges as we search for our true catalyst for celebrating. In that light, together we will consider our need to repair and revitalize our harvest celebrations and rituals of giving thanks.
