Labyrinth Day 2024

October 5 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

From the island of Crete, to Britain, to Norway and the American Southwest, humans have created labyrinths for millennia. Now you can help build one too! Join us at Ardantane’s Labyrinth Day on Saturday, October 5 from 9am to 4 pm at the Ardantane Campus NW of Albuquerque.

Together we’ll explore the history and uses of labyrinths around the world, and how to design and draw one. Then we’ll actually build one: Ardantane’s third, in a unique design different from our first two.

The event is FREE of charge, and open to all adults, and teens accompanied by parents.

The schedule includes a workshop first thing; then we’ll move stones to the site and draw the design on the ground. After a lunch break, we’ll place stones to mark the path, then have a short ritual of dedication. Then… walk the new labyrinth and, if you wish, share your experience over a cold drink!

Every participant gets a free labyrinth emblem.

The lunch is potluck: bring a dish to share! During the rest of the day, refreshments and beverages will be provided by Ardantane. We have work gloves to loan. Please bring a sun hat and folding chair, if you have one.

Though there is no charge, for planning purposes we would love to know how many are coming. Contact info@ardantane.org with the number in your party, and to get directions. Thanks!

See you at the labyrinth!
