What special places around the world are sacred to modern Pagans… or might be, if we knew about them? Once you’ve visited Stonehenge on the summer solstice, or Newgrange at Yule, what sites could inspire you enough to make a pilgrimage? Let’s explore Glastonbury in England; Gobekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe in Turkiye; the temples of Artemis, Athena, and more around the Mediterranean; Kildare in Ireland and Brigit’s holy wells; Herne’s Windsor Forest; the Salem Memorial and Proctor’s Ledge; and other key places in Pagan history that are worth an expedition. Your hostess is Azrael Arynn K, a Wiccan priestess and elder, and organizer of travels to Scotland, Slovenia, and other delicious lands.
Azrael Arynn K is a third-degree Wiccan Priestess and High Priest of the Coven of Our Lady of the Woods, and has also held offices in the Covenant of the Goddess. She is both Facilities Director and Dean of the School of Sacred Living at Ardantane Pagan Learning Center. She co-authors books on the Craft with Amber K, and travels and teaches widely throughout the United States.
