Queen Medb of Cruachan

In this session, we will explore the powerful and complex figure of Queen Medb of Cruachan, a central character in Irish mythology and a potent symbol within modern pagan practice. We’ll delve into the Ulster Cycle, particularly the Táin Bó Cúailnge, to examine Medb’s role as a warrior queen, her sovereignty over land and people, and her embodiment of divine feminine power. The session will include a blend of mythological storytelling, historical context, and spiritual interpretation, considering how Medb has been viewed as both a historical archetype and a living deity within Celtic and pagan traditions.
Maeve has been active in the Denver area Druid community for many years.
