The Art of Resurrection – Death and Rebirth throughout the Ancient World.

March 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10.00

Did you know that Living Resurrection, as a spiritual practice and act of transformation and transcendence, existed thousands of years before being enacted in Christian theology? In the ancient world, untold thousands of initiates willingly undertook an organized communal transformation process (an initiation), after which they would report no fear of death because they secured their place in the fortunate land of the afterlife. This experience was open to all social ranks from slave to Emperor, male and female, and not limited to specific racial or ethnic groups. It consisted of a ritual death and rebirth enactment which included a journey through the Underworld/Otherworld, traversing all its trials and tribulations, and being reborn anew. Come explore the Art of Resurrection from the Egyptians to the Greeks, from the Celts to the Christians, and beyond – and what it can offer to modern mystics.
