In this Fire Side we will explore the Amdaut or the Book of the Hours of the Night. This is the book that was painted in some of the pharaohs tombs in the Valley of the Kings. It is derived from the Pyramid Text that was first recorded in the pyramid of Unas at Saqqara, along with the original Book of the Dead. The Amduat is the text that guides pharaoh and Amun across the night sky battling the armies of evil to ensure the sun rises in the morning. By looking at the 12 hours, we will discover the hidden meanings that still effect us today
