August 18 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Ancient Pagan temples were often very different from today’s mainstream-faith churches, mosques, synagogues. They were places to learn the Mysteries, sacrifice to the old gods, and even meet deity face-to-face. They also served as sanctuaries, libraries, and even treasuries. To modern Pagans accustomed to meeting in living rooms or backyards, they often seem vast and otherworldly. We will explore temples from the first known, Gobekli Tepe in Anatolia, to the Wat Samphran Dragon Temple, the London Mithraeum, a Norse God House, and many more. You might even be inspired to build your own small temple!
Amber K has been a Wiccan priestess for 45 years, and loves to study the ancient Pagan faiths.
