How You Can Help on Campus

We are blessed and grateful to all who have poured their heart and soul (and blood, sweat, and tears!) into helping us create and maintain this beautiful refuge, YOUR place in the high desert.

Without our in-person volunteers (Blessed Beavers), Ardantane’s physical campus would die, shrivel, and blow away.

YOU can prevent this from happening!

Join us—Help nurture the Ardantane campus. You will be initiated into the select cadre of our Blessed Beavers!

What’s a Beaver Day?

Beaver Days (volunteer work parties) are generally held the second Saturday of each month except January (too cold) and June (too hot).

BUT life happens and Beaver Days are occasionally rescheduled; check here for the next one:

All ages and skill levels welcome!

Come by 9:00 am if you can, we’ll be done by 3 or 4 pm.

Typical tasks include:

  • Building stuff with wood and power tools
  • Finishing interior spaces with drywall and paint
  • Maintaining existing buildings: painting, repairing, building ramps or steps with railings
  • Clearing outdoor spaces for new labyrinths, ritual circles, or buildings
  • Maintaining trails and labyrinths: carrying rocks, shoveling dirt
  • Doing a Yellow Cone Walk (come to a Beaver Day to find out what it is)
  • Sorting donated books and odd tchotchkes.

And we always have tasks for the mobility challenged (or those just tired of standing).

We provide all tools and materials, plus sun hats and work gloves to loan.

Lunch and Gatorade Zero are provided, plus Beaver Bucks good for any Ardantane program.

*Plus hugs if you want them, distance granted if you don’t.*

And chocolate.

Separate work parties for an individual, couple, household, coven, kindred, grove can be scheduled, too; we would love to have your help on select projects.
