Controversial scholarship in recent decades makes the case for hidden traditions of worship that have existed for thousands of millennia, sometimes dissipating, sometimes repressed, but ever-returning. Some call this The Religion With No Name, and a key component is the use of hallucinogenic organic material to prepare a sacrament that transports its devotees to see beyond this mortal coil, meeting with spirits and ancestors. Advanced chemical analyses have detected evidence of this as far back as Gobekli Tepi, Catal Hoyuk, Eleusis, and even into early Christian rituals.

As curious Druid seekers, we sought and discovered many similar clues in the vast lore we study that suggest this technique was also used by Celts who trained in mystery teachings. Inspired by experiences within modern-day shamanic medicine ceremonies, we created a Druid Mysteries retreat to encounter our myths and teachings in vibrant ways, using magic mushrooms in a sacred manner. We view this as a continuation of fascinating hidden traditions that go back 12,000 years.

Explore this Intriguing concept with Mark Arend, who has been active in the Denver area Druid community for many years.
