Blessings of the Vernal Equinox!

Join us in Celebration!

The Vernal Equinox, Spring Equinox or Ostara as it is more frequently called in modern times, is one of the Sabbats on the Pagan Wheel of the Year as we celebrate it in these times. Its name – Equinox – enlightens us immediately as to the wisdom we may find in its observance. Equinox, equal, implying balance. In our ritual celebration, we will honor that traditional essence. As well, the descriptor, vernal explains: this is the point on the Wheel where birth and beginnings of all kinds are evident. Creation, creativity, newness, these we expect and seek in the Spring. Our ritual will open us to these urges.

The Earth Mother is the core of the Wheel, the spindle upon which it turns. Our ritual will call upon Her and Her sky companion, Venus. Venus in Her reign as planetary goddess of love and Greco/Roman, Venus/Aphrodite goddess of love. We will discover the boon She offers at the time of these new beginnings and how we might invite Her support in our endeavors.

Balance, beginnings, living and loving!

We will celebrate Blessings of the Vernal Equinox!

A white woman with long brown hairMoonbeam Mage caught a glimpse of the path that might be some twenty-five years ago. Fifteen years ago she heard herself asserting that she was on that path, and has solidly placed one foot after the other upon it since. In 2010 she found Ardantane and began her pursuit of all that formal training in the Craft could offer. In 2014, she received the Ardantane Level Three, Master of Magick and Witchcraft Certificate. She is also a third degree initiate of the Ladywood tradition of the Craft.
