March 24 @ 7:00 pm9:00 pm Online

Witches and witchcraft are frequent sightings in fantasy literature. These fictional representations of witches and magic can range from outrageous to offensive. But Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld fantasy series introduces us to witches (and wizards!) that we might recognize in our own lives. Join Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, Magrat Garlick, Tiffany Aching, and their proxy Tara Kiene for this class that is destined  to be equal parts silly and instructive. Beneath the parody, there’s a lot to learn from the Discworld about witchcraft on the Roundworld (aka earth).

Tara Kiene (she/her) is an active Ardantane student, teacher. She’s a member of the Colorado CrowWomen coven when she isn’t strumming her ukulele, belly dancing or playing with her pet rabbits.

This class is free to supporting members of Ardantane. Others must register at https://ardantane.org/event/witchcraft-of-the-discworld/. Be sure to add the number of tickets you want before clicking the Blue GET TICKETS button. The fee is $10.

Registration closes at 5PM Mountain Time on Thursday, March 23.
